These terms govern access to and use of the Katalyxpharma insurer portal by insurance companies, mutual societies and benefit organisations. They supplement the platform's general Terms of Service and prevail over them for everything concerning the insurer portal. By creating an insurer account, your organisation accepts them in full.
"Insurer" means the insurance company, mutual society or benefit organisation holding the account. "Member" means the individual covered by the Insurer. "Claim" means a coverage request generated by a partner pharmacy when dispensing under third-party payment. "Batch" means the periodic grouping of claims submitted to the Insurer for validation and settlement. "Portal" means the interface available at katalyxpharma.com and reserved for enrolled Insurers.
The Portal provides the Insurer with: real-time tracking of claims raised by partner pharmacies, review and validation of batches, management of the member registry and coverage ceilings, and export of data within its own scope. Katalyxpharma acts as a technical intermediary: the platform carries and structures information but is neither an insurer, nor a risk carrier, nor a party to the insurance contract between the Insurer and its members.
Registration is completed through the insurer sign-up form. The account is created with "pending" status and only gains access to the Portal after Katalyxpharma has verified the legal existence of the organisation and the authority of the signatory. The administrator's email address is verified by one-time code before any activation. Katalyxpharma reserves the right to decline a registration without stating reasons, in particular where information is inaccurate or the organisation code is already assigned.
The Insurer's administrator creates and manages the accounts of their organisation, within the limit set by their configuration, and assigns roles defining access permissions. The Insurer is solely responsible for keeping account credentials confidential, for the appropriateness of the permissions granted, and for immediately revoking access when a staff member leaves. Any action performed from an Insurer account is deemed to have been performed by the Insurer. Enabling two-factor authentication is strongly recommended for administrator accounts.
The Insurer undertakes to review claims addressed to it within a reasonable time and to give reasons for any rejection. A validated claim commits the Insurer towards the issuing pharmacy up to the covered amount. The coverage rates applied are those configured by the Insurer in the Portal; keeping them up to date is the Insurer's responsibility. Katalyxpharma does not substitute itself for the Insurer in assessing the merits of a claim and does not guarantee payment of amounts due.
Each submitted batch is sealed with a SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint chained to that of the previous batch. This mechanism makes any modification after submission detectable. The Insurer has a verification function allowing it to check the integrity of a batch and of the chain at any time. These fingerprints constitute evidence between the parties as to the content of batches at the date of their submission.
The Insurer imports and maintains the registry of its members (identifier, identity, status, ceilings). It warrants that it has a legal basis authorising it to process this data and to transmit it to Katalyxpharma for the purposes described herein. It undertakes to keep this registry accurate and to remove without delay any person whose coverage has ended. Katalyxpharma performs no verification of the accuracy of the data transmitted.
Through the Portal, the Insurer accesses information relating to partner pharmacies and to dispensing events for its members. It undertakes to use this information solely for managing coverage, not to disclose it to unauthorised third parties, and not to exploit it for commercial purposes, external statistics or solicitation. This obligation survives closure of the account.
Katalyxpharma uses reasonable efforts to keep the Portal available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation. Interruptions may occur for scheduled maintenance, incident resolution or external causes (failure of a hosting provider, network operator or third-party supplier). Scheduled maintenance is announced where possible. Unavailability does not give rise to compensation.
Katalyxpharma is answerable for the faithful transmission and retention of the data entrusted to it. It cannot be held liable for: coverage or rejection decisions made by the Insurer, contractual relationships between the Insurer and its members or pharmacies, inaccuracy of data supplied by the Insurer, or the consequences of credentials being used by an unauthorised person. In any event, Katalyxpharma's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages.
Katalyxpharma may suspend access to the Portal in the event of breach of these terms, fraudulent use, or established risk to the security of the platform or its data. Except in emergencies, suspension is preceded by notice. The Insurer may request closure of its account at any time; batches and claims already issued remain retained and enforceable. Closure does not extinguish financial obligations arising beforehand.
Katalyxpharma may amend these terms to reflect legal, regulatory or functional developments. Substantial changes are notified to the account administrator at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Portal after that date constitutes acceptance. Should the Insurer object, it may request closure of its account without penalty.
These terms are governed by Cameroonian law and by OHADA provisions. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable settlement within 30 days of notification of the disagreement. Failing agreement, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon.
